National Youth Day Celebrations 2014.(12 January 2014)
The National Youth Day is celebrated on 12 January 2014 on the occasion of Swami Vivekanand Jayanti. A great internationalist and spiritual leader of India is an axiom and continuous source of inspiration for the people of all ages. Honorable Director inaugurated the function and highlighted the principles and ideals of Vivekanand on the occasion. In his speech he said that the ideals of Vivekanand is true essence of humanism and true education is the arms through which you can fight with all types of evils.
On the occasion, a competition on ‘slogan writing’ ‘Quotation writings from collections of swami Vivekanand’ and Picture Sketching through Draw Label and Describe are organized. Students are suitably awarded as per their merit. (Result attached/Photographs and Newspaper clipping).

WORKSHOP ON ENGLISH

Vivekanand Mission School and Orient Swan Publication Jointly organised a workshop on ASL(Asssessment of Speaking and Listining Skill) in english recently introduced by CBSE, New Delhi. The workshop was inaugurated jointly by Dr. Shambhu Sharan Singh, Principal O.P Pandey and the resource person Dr. Sandeep Dey by lightening the candles and garlanding the portrait of Swami Vivekanand. Honourable Director in his inaugural speech stressed upon the role of teachers. He told that the teachers must visualize the time and class room management for effective teaching. The teachers must behave as a guardian of the students first and then as a teacher.
The Resource person Dr. Sandeep Dey trained the teachers regarding the assessment method for speaking and listening skill. He used video clips and rubrics for better understanding of the teachers. He also guided the teachers regarding perfect implementation of CBSE guidelines for English literature teaching.
NATIONAL GIRL CHILD-DAY 2014

The National Girl Child day is observed on 24 January 2014 in the school Assembly on the occasion of the importance of girl child is highlighted as a powerful human resource of the nation. Honourable Director in his speech pointed out the legacy of matriarchal family. He showed his concern over declining sex ratio and regarding rights of female child. He given stress over women empowerment. On the descent occasion he announced 50% off in tuition fee for all those girls taking admission from std. I to std VII. This facility will continue to these newly admitted girls up to the highest class available in the school.
REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION 2014

(DISTRICT CREATION DAY)
The Vivekanand Mission School family celebrated the 65th Republic Day on 26 Jan 2014 with great enthusiasm and fervor. Along with the routine programmes for the celebration, our students displayed their talents in different activities organised by subdivisional Administration. Our students performed colourful JHANKI in sub divisional PARADE GROUND on the theme – LAUNCHING OF GLSV-D5. It included march past comprising Dandia, Lezium, Dumble, Rampa, Ring-Ring etc. The Dandi March was the point of attraction. Our JHANKI awarded 2nd prize.
In the cultural field our students mesmerised the public by performing group dance and folk dance. In both of these sections school get awarded 2nd position.
Simultaneously on 26 January 2014. The District Administration of Aurangabad organised different activities on the occasion of District Creation Day. In this district level competition our students performed well. (Result attached)
